Given the tempaccio here in the UK, I felt that we all could do with a little CandyJab sunshine…
Most of my Facebook posts last week focused on pastel coloured wedding ideas. They came in the form of water-coloured cakes, wedding decorations, clothing, and makeup. These fresh and tantalising colours are enough to make even the non-believers out there succumb to these mouth-watering concepts. Rain… what rain!
I love the playful styling by Viktoria Novak Designs, amazing assortment of cookies and treats by The Art of Sweet, and all captured in these outstanding images by Kassandra Utzinger Photography & Design. These ideas push the boundaries in a more capricious manner making this one of the most captivating shoots I’ve seen in a while.
The pretty pastel pink and blue table decor is part of a photo shoot put together by Events by Heather Ham with images by Picotte Weddings - again using a darker shade of blue to give a stronger presence… striking!
Below we see a more subtle look keeping it fresh and undeniably appealing. However, they have added a touch of vivacity in the use of a deeper hue like the turquoise ribbons.
First up is the handmade bib necklace created from ranunculus (buttercups, spearworts and water crowfoots) and peonies on a ring made of clover – it works beautifully with this dress by Fabulous Frocks of Atlanta. A super idea for a summer or beach wedding, and an alternative to traditional jewellery.
Keeping your spring/summer palette simple with these delicate and subtle soft tones, gives an authentic vintage feel which radiates elegance.
I just love these exquisitely hand crafted cupcakes. On the left: Carina’s Cupcakes with the lace overlay and casing, adorned with pearls and frilly butterflies – and every part is edible! This is one of many extraordinary delights created by Carina.
On the right: we have the equally enchanting floral cupcake by Cotton and Crumbs – the look is fragile and life-like, to the point of being almost fragrant! Their bespoke wedding cakes, cupcakes, and other tasty treats would add a charm to any special occasion.
The above photograph of these adorable ethereal dresses, was taken by Natalie Spencer Photography. They are simply delightful and are inspirational to the theme.
Finally, this is where it all started for me – Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. The cotton candy coloured gorgeousness which immediately taps into all my senses. Check out the extraordinary catwalk show here.
